John Johnston Institute - Cohort V

Welcome to the registration system for the fifth cohort of the Brother John Johnston Institute of Contemporary Lasallian Practice! We look forward to helping you deepen your understanding of De La Salle’s story and vision, Lasallian pedagogy, the Lasallian promotion of justice and Lasallian spirituality, all while using contemporary texts to inform and influence your current and future Lasallian practice.

Program

The Johnston Institute is a learning and spiritual community in which participants grow and support one another not only in their District cohort, but also in the larger Regional Johnston community. Attendance in class, prayer services and socials are expected. Your attendance in all activities is essential to your Johnston experience and supports members of your group, as well as members of the entire Johnston Institute. Please reference the Johnston general information page on the Christian Brothers Conference website for session dates to assist in planning your calendar and travel itineraries. Please review the dates of all sessions and make necessary changes to your schedule to ensure that you do not miss any sessions. It is mandatory to attend ALL sessions.

Program Schedule

Participants will gather in person at four District sessions and two Regional sessions. There will also be opportunities to learn online through three facilitated dialogues via Zoom. Much of the in-person sessions will involve lectures and small and large group discussions, with time for reading, reflection and prayer. An important dimension of the Johnston Institute experience is the community we will build with one another. We will achieve this by being present to one another throughout the entire experience. There will be many opportunities to enjoy each other’s company at meals and socials.

The 2024 summer session will begin in the late afternoon on Monday, July 22 and will conclude no later than 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 25.

Travel Arrangements
All travel arrangements and costs, including airfare, train, bus and/or other ground transportation costs are the sole responsibility of the participant.

Photography/Video
By attending the Johnston Institute and its events, participants understand and agree that their image may be captured by Christian Brothers Conference and used without compensation in photographs, videos, motion pictures or other recordings or record of the event that contains the image for any purpose, including for future advertising of the Johnston Institute.

Registration Cancellation
No participant is registered until Christian Brothers Conference has received an online registration form and full payment.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY: Christian Brothers Conference will grant refunds for registration cancellations received before Friday, May 17, 2024, less a $50.00 administrative fee and a credit card processing fee. No refunds will be granted after May 17, 2024. Cancellation notices must be in writing and sent to Phil De Rita at [email protected]. Refunds for incorrect or duplicate registrations will be granted, less a $50.00 administrative fee and a credit card processing fee. All refunds will be in the form of a check. Checks will be mailed within three weeks of receipt of the written request.
